The Senate Palace is the residence of the President of the Russian Federation . It was built by M.Kazakov in 1776 - 1788. The dome is crowns a gilded statue of George the Victorious. The Oval Hall of the Senate Palace serves as the main office of the President. Tsar-bell and Tsar-cannon stunning examples of casting of the 16th – 18th centuries. The Tsar-bell is the biggest Russian bell. It stands at the bottom of the Belfry of Ivan the Great. However, Moscow has never heard its powerful tolling. It was cast by Moscow craftsmen Ivan Mikhail Motorins for the Uspensky (Assumption) Cathedral's belfry.
